Question
I bought a car for my girlfriend and on the way to get the title/ insurance she was in an accident. The other driver was at fault but she had no insurance. The car I bought was totaled. Did I just lose a car or is there something I can do?

Answer
Hello,

Well, it depends if you owed the car. Did you paid money for the car and the transaction was completed? Or the transaction called for a title transfer first? If the car was still hers, then she needs to deal with the at fault insurance company.

If the car is yours then you need to deal with the at fault insurance company.

Good Luck
