Question
A couple weeks ago my wife and i were at a stop light and was struck from behind at the red light,it gave us terrible neck pain and both went to our doctor to receive treatment. the other insured driver was clearly at fault. i was contacted by her ins.company, they stated they will pay the med.bills and repairs as well give us 500.each for our troubles,we feel that its worth a bit more for our necks seeing how it still isn't feeling healed 100% we don't want to drag it on either is it fair to ask for at least double and sign there release form? or consult a lawyer? thanks.Brandon

Answer
Hello Brandon.

Talking to a lawyer is always a good idea. Most first consultations are free, so you lose nothing by asking. Please see: http://www.auto-insurance-claim-advice.com/find-a-lawyer.html

If however you want to see what you are entitled to, this is a good website: http://www.auto-insurance-claim-advice.com/bodily-injury-claim.html

You can also get a great book on the subject, here: http://www.settleyourowninjuryclaim.com/

I hope this helps,

Good Luck
