Question
My question is... do commercial vehicals (dump truck) have minimum insurance coverage that they have to have.  I know that the truck that hit me has insurance but a friend of mine said that I may have trouble getting what is owed in medical if they don't have enough coverage.  I thought they had to have a minimum of around $500,000 or something which would definately take care of my bills ect... just wondering.  Thanks much!

Answer
Hi Jenny,

Unfortunately, your question is state specific and would depend on your states individual requirements.

You can check with your state department of transportation or your state insurance commissioners office.

I hope this helps
