Hi
I've seen a car that I am interested in for my first car, it has a cat c claim against it and i was just wondering is it a good idea to buy the car for a first motor. it is in good condition and runs well.

In the US, we don't categorize total losses the way they do in the UK. However, some total lossed vehicles are actually good values, but you need to have them checked out thoroughly by a trusted mechanic or collision repair technician.
