Auto Insurance Claims/TOTAL LOSS CLAIM

Question
I was involved in a rearend accident on March 2 - I was not at fault.  I have Progressive and person liable has Progressive and we live in California.  I still owe a balance on the car and I got a preliminary amount for the valuation on the property loss and it won't even come close to cover balance.  They are not taking in consideration the upgrades that came with the car at the time I bought it - these were not factory upgrades but ones installed from a previous owner.  It was part of the price when I bought the car.  On top of all this the body shop that has a relationship with Progressive where I agreed to take my car for the estimate, were finally told my car was a total loss and I was called to bring back the loaner.  I discovered that the body shop had begun to 'strip' my car - cutting into my dash for the airbag, breaking my glove box and driver seat, as well as other strip parts inside the car.  I have reported this to Progressive but they are totally dragging there feet on this portion of the claim.  They did come out finally to take pictures today but I'm really concerned that they lowered the valuation on my car when they found out about this messup at the body shope.   I had told the adjuster up front that I was absolutely retaining the vehicle for salvage as all the damage was in the back and to the frame in the rear.  It was totally driveable and I had someone set up to do the work over a period of time.

My question has to do with trying to access your website to get the information on total loss claims - claimants.  I went to the 'download now for free' and it kept coming up with the homeowners download and was not allowing me to get to this information. It sounds like I may get the information I could use to fight Progressive on the initial valuation of the property damage to my car.

Can you help or provide any guidance?

Thanks so much for the alert. The shopping cart at UClaim was changed over to Paypal earlier this week. I was out of town all day yesterday. I see exactly what you are talking about. It is showing the homeowners policy on all the eBooks. I'm going to alert my programmer to it as soon as I get done typing here. Please send an email to info@uclaim so I can get back to you as soon as it is fixed. So sorry.
