Question
my son was in a minor fender bender,no one was injured and there was only a dent in the other car.the car is in my name and it is insured.will this show up on his record if he was to get his own insurance,or will it show up on me..or both

Answer
Well, it shows on your policy for your own insurance company. It will affect both of you on your own insurance company (say USAA).

If he goes on his own and gets a policy with USAA it will affect both of you. If goes with another company, then that company will look at the driving (and claim record) and hold that against him. You will probably be able to your policy "clean" once he lives as he is no longer a driver under the policy.

I hope this helps,
