Question
Today morning when I was coming to office, In parking area sombody was backing up car to get his car from parking slot and I was passing parking lot and that time that guy hitted my car (driverside/back door) side from his car rear side. We both left place. We didn't talk about insurance but this impact changed my stearing wheel alignment and made some scratches on the door. Now what is the process to claim insurance ? Should I claim for this minor damage? I am worried about this. Please help me. Thanks a lot for your advise.

Answer
Call your insurance company and explain what happened. Give them the name of the person who hit your car (if you know it), their insurance information, etc. If it was clearly his fault, you should get in touch with him as you will be responsible for your deductible if you file the claim with your own company. If he admits it was his fault, get the name of his insurance company and call them to report the claim.
