Question
Do you know if state farm comprehensive claims, CA cover if I side swiped a pole, or is this Collision?
Also, is this a comprehensive claim if a rolling trash can hits my car, or is that collision?

Thanks for all the help!

Answer
Hi Laura,
Under any policy in California, if you sideswipe a pole, it is always considered a collision.

If you were driving on a roadway and a trash can fell off a truck in front and rolled into your vehicle, it would be considered comprehensive
(a falling object).  For any other type conditions involving a rolling trash can, your insurance will have to review the exact circumstances in order to make a decision if the loss is comprehensive or collision.

I hope this information is found to be helpful.  Your feedback by rating my response will be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Bennie
