Question Can I submit a claim for running something over in the roadway and as a result the object ruptured my fuel tank. I'm at work and not sure of my coverage right now.
Answer Hi Bruce,
When you run over an item laying in the roadway, it is considered a collision by your insurance company and is subject to your collision deductible (usually $250-$500). It is also considered a fault loss and may cause your rate to increase.
You should consider paying this loss out of pocket and save the insurance coverage in case something larger happens.
