Expert: Doctor Settlement - 8/23/2009

I recently got into an accident and lost my car, so I added my self to my brothers plan to drive his car. When I removed my old insurance on my Mothers plan they said that they couldnt and I would have to pay $600 a year to drive my mothers cars because I do not have a car title in my name and im not a primary driver on an insurance policy. Im 18 about to be 19 and going to college so I will NOT be driving my parents vehicle... How can they force this onto my mothers auto insurance plan?

For what it is worth, however, you will need to let the expert know where you and your brother are living, since "household family member" is a special category that has rights under a policy.  

I got to this question quickly so hopefully I did not cause you any delay in getting your answer.  But I would rather have you get accurate information than my guesses on contract issues.
