I was involved in an accident where the orther party was at fault.  The other party rearended me which cause my vehicle to hit the person in front of me.  My vehicle was tolled.  The other party has taken care of everything except my doctors bill.  I had sent them a demand letter for $3500 for my doctor bills and pain and suffering. They sent me a letter back stating that they are offering me only a $1000 because my doctor bills were a very small amount.  For my doctor bills, pain and suffering, and the money that I had to borrow to make a down payment on another vehicle, I think that I should be given more than $1000.  Their client had caused me to go get another vehicle which I wasn't planning on doing no time soon.  I am going to send them another letter refusing their offer and continue to demand for the $3500, but I don't know eactly how to menting all of this in the letter.  Please advice me on what I need to inorder to get what I am rightfully entitled to.  Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about your car accident. It is very hard, if possible at all, to tell you exactly what kind of damages you are entitled to without looking at your medical records. Also, your state law might require certain amount of medical bills before you are entitled to pain and suffering (each state is different).

A local attorney can probably help you with your specific situation and tell you if you are in the ball park of what you should get.
