Question
While driving north bound on a hwy, a vehicle came across the median from the south bound lane and totaled my girlfriends 2007 Kia Rio. She owes $10,997 and the Blue Book value is listed at the same price. The drivers insurance sent a settlement offer of $7,000. What can we do?

Answer
Hello David,

If you cash the check, make sure there is no release on it. If there is, just line it out, initial it, and on the back of the check write "partial payment of claim" and sign below that and deposit it. Failing to deposit the check will not pressure the adjuster to increase your settlement. I could write a little book on how to get the rest of your money, but its already been done. I suggest you go to UClaim.com and get an eBook on Total Loss Auto, currently at 50% off and a huge bargain at around $12.00, with a money back guarantee.
