Auto Insurance Claims/total loss

Question
adjuster gave me 2 option. total for 4600 giving up my title. or 3400 and i have to go to and outside shop they will not fix it the adjuster knows that this will not restore my repairs and he told me I would be responsible for any extra charge. Do I have to take these offer.

Answer
The insurer only owes the lesser amount, the value of the car, or the cost to fix it. If you take the $4600.00 and "keep" the title and repair it yourself, how much will they deduct from the $4600.00 for the salvage? The trick is to not get low-balled on value of the car and "high-balled" on the salvage value. Its a delicate game on the salvage negotiation. For very detailed advice on how to handle both of these items to your advantage, consider an eBook at UClaim.com entitled "Total Loss Auto" currently on sale for around $12.00 at 50 off with a money back guarantee.
