Auto Insurance Claims/accident claim

Question
while at a light            my wife was hit by a school bus from behind. The report shows the driver was a 100% at fault.My insurance company geico offered to handle the claim.The bus company uses liberty mutual.If I have my company handle the claim will it effect my clean record in any way with geico.Would i be better off handling the claim with liberty mutual.

Hi Ron,

Since the accident was not your wife's fault, having your insurance company will handle the claim will not affect your rates, Your insurance company willbe reimbursed by the at-fault persons insurance company.
