Question
hi. im an unlicensed van owner with insurance, and was sat in the passenger seat , when a friend who is licensed reversed into a parked car.however his own insurance had recently expired. my policy is fully comp but states driver only, will it still cover the damages?

Answer
Hi Mike,

I am not specifically knowledgeable in UK insurance or insurance law. That having been said, generally auto insurance follows the vehicle and not the driver. So in this case I would think that your insurance company should cover the damage caused by your friend driving your vehicle.

I hope this helps
