Auto Insurance Claims/Auto claim while on the job

Question
I was hit head on by at fault party, liability is not in dispute.  I was on the job when the accident occurred.  I've been seeing company appointed doctors, and according to my physician I am as good as I will be, I will not improve further, and will have a permanent injury.
Question:  I do not have an attorney, and do not preger to hire one, but I am confused as to what my WC claim is intertwined with the personal injury claim.  WC has specific rules to follow, and I do not know how any settlement with WC is considered when I settle with the at fault party.  The accident occured in GA.
Thanks for any ifnormation or direction you can provide

Answer
Hello Stacy,

Personal injury claims can get complex and insurance companies will take advantage of those who do not preserve your rights. Talking to a local attorney is advised (the first consult is usually free).

The WC can and will pay your loss wage at a percentage rate, depending on your state, 70 to 100%, while you treat. They will also pay for medical bills that your PIP or Medical Payments coverage will not pay for.

The worker compensation must be paid back by the at fault insurance company (including the loss wages portion). The difference of what was paid to you on loss wages by WC and what your real wage was will have to be paid to you directly at settlement. Also, the at fault party will have to pay for your pain and suffering 100% at settlement or when a judgment is rendered.

I hope this helps,
