Auto Insurance Claims/Small hail storm 10/12/2010- Carroll County GA

Question
Good morning - I was on my way home from work on this Tuesday late afternoon, and it was raining and thundering pretty bad, and hail started to fall, and has damaged my car.
This was not a severe hailstorm, however, there is damage to the car. I have filed a claim with my insurance carrier, and they are stating that they cannot find any proof anywhere that there was any hail storm, large or small.
What do I do in this situation. I am very upset.
Thank you!

Answer
Hi Heather,

It does not matter that they can not find proof of a storm. You have insurance to pay for damage to your car. There is damage on your car. Tell them to pay for the repairs or you will call the news stations and tell them that your insurance company refuses to pay a legitimate claim. You can also file a complaint with your state insurance commissioners office.

I hope this helps
