Auto Insurance Claims/auto body shop problem

Question
My car was damaged in an accident.  It is now at an auto body shop and I am now regretting using this business to repair my car. The repair person said he has "ordered the parts" on three separate occasions spanning 3-4 weeks but no work has been done yet. This shop has already been paid in full by the insurance company. Please tell me what I should do in this situation besides documenting phone calls and conversations.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Arlene,

You can contct te insurance company that paid them to see if they can put any preasure on the shop. Deping o yor state, there may b an agency that regulates auto repair shops that you could file a complaint with. The only other thing I can think of is to tell the shop manager that if the work is not started withing X days, that you will be having the vehicle moved to another shop and will sue them to get back the money that they were paid.

I hope this helps
