Question
Can a insurance company deny your claim base on a statement of there insurer and not a actual investigation and refuse to send you a letter stating the reason why it was deny

Answer
Hi Altimond,

An insurance company can deny a claim based on the statement of their insured if they feel it is credible. In most states they are required to respond to you in writing with the reason for the denial. If the insurance comapny is refusing to provide you with a written denial letter, you may want to contact your state insurance commissioners office to file a complaint.

If your claim is unfairly denied, you can file the claim on your own insurance if you have collision coverage or you may have to file a law suit in small claims court.

I hope this helps
