Question
If there was an accident in a funeral homes parking lot and there was no police record filed is it true that the only person to be able to sue for damages would be the funeral home themselves since it was on their property?

Answer
Hi Sara,

If you hit the funeral homes bulding or vehicle then they would be able to sue you if your insurance did not pay them properly or you did not have insurance.

If you hit another car on the funeral homes parking lot, then that would be between you and the person you hit. So just as above they could sue you if they were not properly paid by your insurance or you if not insured.

If your car was hit in a funeral home parking lot then the person who hit you is responsible for paying you either perosnally or through their insurance.

Again the funeral home has nothing to do with anything unless it was their building or vehicles that were involved.

I hope this helps
