Auto Insurance Claims/unlicensed driver in accident

Question
I was recently in a 5 vehicle accident in Va. The driver charged with "failure to maintain control" also was driving on a suspended license and was arrested on the spot. The vehicle is his girlfriends and is insured but will it cover our damages? My Trailblazer was totaled and I sustained a torn shoulder. Any reason to seek legal council for damages or will the ins. co. not cover?

Answer
Yes, the girlfriends car insurance should cover your damages, unless Virginia is a "no fault" state (where your own insurance only covers your own damages). If you think an attorney will get you more money, then hire one. It's a personal choice. See if the insurer will cover your damages, then ask the attorney to work on a percentage of the amount over what you got on your own. If the insurer under pays the value of your Trailblazer, get the eBook Total Loss Auto for Claimants at UClaim.com. It has a money back guarantee.
