I was exiting a buss and trafic was heavy the light near me went red and traffic stopped i wanted to go right in witch i have to cross 2 lanes and turn lane but traffic was stopped so i went and right when my pass front corner broke turn lane this guy hit me,the speed limit is 40 and the light was red and 250 feet away,he hit my mustang so fost that his truck went over the corner of my car then slide 100 feet and turned around the wrong way my car was still runing air bags poped i drove it foward in the turn lane to get out of the way,police report says i pulled out in turnlane,we where both fine and denied ems,ok this is where it starts again i contact his insur first 1st week,they call back say witness said it was my fault so they den 3rd week,then appraiser calls got police report and say both our faults 5th week,and then about 7 weeks after accident get bill for 5,300 farmers says 90 me 10 him,9 weeks after accident get bill for 9,800 and they dont care about any thing i ve got to say i think i m getting railed and dont know what to do(my car was 98 mustang had 9 years,his 08 ranger single cab,my car was insur but i'm not on it and they wont get up to bat for me)thank you for reading this and any advice you can give

Hi Justin,

Based on your story, I would conclude that you are at fault. Any time you are crossing lanes of traffic the other traffic in those lanes has the right of way.

I would recommend that you contact your insurance comapny and file a claim. Even if  you do not have collison coverage on your mustang, they will pay for the other persons damage which will keep you from having to pay both.
