Question
My vehicle was parked and was hit by another vehicle.  My vehicle suffered a tremendous amount of damage, it is being totaled.  I had just put approx. $2000 worth of work into it a month prior.(New tires, shocks, struts, mounts, alignment, and other misc. maintenance. )  Am I entitled to recover that money as well as the fair value of my vehicle?

Answer
Evie,
Money spent to maintain a car is not added to a settlement. Your only hope will be to just get the overall valuation kicked up, since they will probably lowball the valuation. If you do get lowballed, get one of the total loss auto eBooks at UClaim.com to learn how to get more.
