Auto Insurance Claims/brake failure due to faulty service

Question
I had the front brake pads replaced in preparation for the drive to a new home in another state. When we started the trip, the brakes failed and I hit the car ahead of me. Slow speed, no injuries, but considerable damage to my car, along with the inconvenience and expense of being stuck where I no longer had a home. I ended up leaving my car behind so I could get to my new home before the movers. Insurance co's investigation revealed that the wrong brake pads were installed, causing the brakes to fail. What can I reasonably expect from the brake co?

Answer
Hi Kay,

The brake company should pay to properly repair the brakes, all of the costs associated with the collision repairs, a rental car or loss of use during the collision repairs and the diminished value of your vehicle as a result of having been damaged and repaired. They should also pay for the cost of any additional expense you incured considering you were leaving town when the collision occured.

I hope this helps
