Auto Insurance Claims/Stolen Vespa

Question
Dear Sir,
This morning I woke to find that that my Vespa had been stolen. It had been parked for several months since the battery had died during the winter and I just hadn't got around to getting it fixed. Because I was not driving it I let my insurance laps thinking that I was safe because I had GAP insurance if something tragic like this occurred. I feel like an idiot now not realizing GAP covered what insurance didn't pay and not the remainder of what is owed like I had thought.
I don't know what to do...aside from paying for the bike for the rest of it's life in someone else's possession. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, Denice

Answer
Hi Denice,

There is not much you can do. You are still obligated to pay for the Vespa. Hopefully you have reported it to the police. Hopefully they will find it still in good condition and return it to you. Unfortunately there is nothing else you can do.

I hope this helps
