Auto Insurance Claims/loss of use in texas

Question
is a claimant owed loss of use in texas? if so, what is the amount

Answer
Hi Yumeka,

Yes. In Texas a claimant is entitled to "reasonable" loss of use. There is no fixed amount so it is a matter of negotiation, however the amount is generally less that the cost of a rental car. You should start at about $20.00 per day, then be prepared to negotiate to some reasonable amount that both you and the insurance company can agree on.

I hope this helps
