Auto Insurance Claims/pain & suffering for retired person

Question
I am retired but suffered a constant eye-twitch for nearly 2 ½ years.  How much should my demand be?

Answer
Hi Lisa,

Generally, pain & suffering settlement are based on the cost of medical treatment that was incurred. Unless your eye twitch is documented by a doctor and some type of treatment obtained on a regular basis, there will not be much in the way of compensation. Based on the limited information you provided, I would say that you may get a few hundred dollars.

I hope this helps
