Auto Insurance Claims/Is it worth appealing a surcharge

Question
I backed out of my garage and didn't realize a car was parked in my driveway. I had no damage to my car but the other was over $2000. Is it worth appealing the surcharge i am going to receive from the accident. It happened in Massachusetts. It costs $50 just to send in an appeal request.

Answer
Hi Julie,

In this case it would not help you. Based on your description of what happened, there is no question that you were at fault for the collision. The only time an appeal may be helpful is when the facts of who was at fault are in question.

I hope this helps
