Question
If I were to be involved in an accident as a co-owner of a vehicle would the owner have to be listed on my insurance in order for the claim to be paid? Reason being is I have my own policy individually on the car because I as co-owner make all payments and am the only one who used the vehicle.

Answer
Hi Tonia,

No, your policy will cover both you and the vehicle.  It was YOU as owner who suffered the injury to yourself and to the vehicle.  Your policy will cover you and the vehicle.  If there should EVER be any doubts or questions, you can always call your state insurance commissioner http://www.settlementcentral.com/links.php
