Question

leg
As my best friend was backing out of her driveway, she did not see me and the back of her car hit me. I was pinned between her back bumper and the front of my car. I work at a doctors off where I had multiple X-rays and ultrasounds to ensure everything was okay. It has now been 75 days and I am still having trouble. I have scheduled an Ortho appointment. Now I am wondering if we need to contact her insurance carrier. I didn't know if it had been too long since I though I would heal fine. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Hi Ashley,

You should just call her insurance comapny to report the claim. They will try to give you a hard time for waiting, but just tell them what you told me, that you should it would be ok. If they goive you a very hard time, send them a copy of the photo you sent me and ask them if you need to get an attorney. The photo is the ultimate proof that you have obvoious bruising that required treatment. You should total up all of your medical bills once your treatment is finished and then ask for 3 times those medical bills plus any lost wages as settlement for your case. Again, if they don't treat you fairly, seek the advice of an attorney.

I hope this helps
