Question
I caused an accident because of a medical issue which in turn my car and the other car were "totaled." This accident took place in May of 2010. My insurance company has reimbursed their car damages
and been able to settle two out of the three people claims out of court as of this week. The insurance company believes I will be served (sued) for the third person that was involved. As anyone would expect my husband and I's insurance premium has gone through the roof with a $440.00 monthly payment. Can we shop around for a new insurance company at this time or do I have to wait until this matter is resolved? I am not sure if I will be able to find a more affordable coverage but I don't want to jeopardize having legal representation for the accident.  Thank you.

Answer
Yes, you can change or cancel. They must still defend and pay, even if it takes years. Fyi though,it will be easier to get insurance if you already have insurance. If you suspect underpayment on your car, get the eBook on Total Loss Auto at http://www.UClaim.com
