Question
We live in NY, My son is 19 yrs old and has his own car insurance but lives in my home. If he gets into a motor vehicle accident can I be named in a laws suit knowing he lives at home and I have more then he does?
Thank You
Dawn

Answer
Hi Dawn,

As long as the vehicle title, registration & insurance are only in your sons name, and since he is over 18 years old, you can not be liable for any of his actions. So as long as the above is correct you can not be sued if he is in an accident.

I hope this helps
