Question
I was pulling out of my driveway, where their is no crosswalk to park my truck on the street,I was on a suspended license, the light was red i was making a right turn, their were two people before me turning also and they did,as they did I pulled forward, when it was my turn I started to go after I looked to the right and then the left their was no one coming the only obstruction was my apartment complex put a sign up and you couldn't see all the way down the sidewalk, I started to go and then I heard something and stopped and I had hit a girl not a minor on a bike and knocked her down to the street, it didn't even tear her pants, all the authorities came, she went to the hospital and I was insured at the time full coverage, the insurance company honored the claim and i was not issued any citations, now 4 to 5 months later I receive a letter in the mail that a criminal complaint was filed against me for driving on a suspended license, is their any limitations on this and what can they do or what will happen, also they said it was illegal for the girl to be riding their and she had no helmet on and it was 50% my fault and 50% her fault.

Answer
This is really more of a criminal law question than an insurance claim, and I am not an attorney.  But I'm confident there is a statute of limitations for driving on a suspended license.  But I also seriously doubt it is only 5 months - probably more like a few years.  You may want to get a traffic law attorney to help you - their fees are usually pretty reasonable for a case like this.
