dear mr.hixenbaugh,
my name is ashley bates I was in an accident in 1994 when I was 9. I fractured my neck so I am told anyhow I never realized that when they set my neck I think they set it crooked because now that I am getting older I am in alot alot of pain on a daily basis. Is there anything I can do ?

Hi Ashley,

This will depend on what happened back when the incident took place. I assume there was a settlement back at the time of the incident and that your parents would have received a settlement in exchange for a signed release form. If this is the case then there is likely not much you can do. You should ask your parents about any settlement that were achieved back at that time. Did they receive any money due to your injuries? Did they sign a release form? do they have a copy of the release form?

If they did sign a realease form, you should get a copy and take it to an attorney to review to see if there is any way for ou to still pursue a claim. If there is a release form and it is valid, then there is not likely much you can do.
