In my town the city Police do racial profile. I am a black male driving a 60k vehicle with 6k worth of wheels and tires. when interviewed by the police officer he immediately tried to get me to say I did it. He wrote up his report and in it he stated that he felt that I was involved. The police officers have only questioned me and many of my ex-girlfriends who had nothing nice to say about me and would do anything they can to see me hurt. None of my friends have been questioned because it might help me. I loved my vehicle and I bust my but getting the items for it. Why am I being treated like a climinal by the police dept., and the insurance agency? They now have a special Agent for their insurance agency looking in to my claim. In four more days it will be 30 days since the claim was submitted. What should I do? I'm a DOD Police Officer that's being treated like a criminal! This would not be happening to me if I was an elderly man or woman!

Answer
Zach,

Well first of all, for liability reasons, I say get an attorney to represent you. Use him as your "spokesperson" so you have time to think about your answers. And don't give any recorded statements without him present. Technically, your policy does not require a recorded statement, but may allow a Examination Under Oath. Take a look at the descriptions of the Miscellaneous eBooks at UClaim.com.
