Question
If a vehicle is broken into, and several items are stolen from the vehicle, whom covers this liability?  Is there a certain policy I should obtain to prevent an issue with this?

Answer
Hello Josephs,

you need TWO policies for that.

One is for the auto. The broken glass and damages to the actual vehicle (and/or anything attacked to the car, like a stereo system). You auto policy WITH comprehensive coverage will cover that.

The second one is: a Home owners or Renters property policy. The stolen times are not covered in an auto policy (unless they are permanently attached). Clothing, sports equipment, cellphones, and anything like that is not covered under the auto policy.

Talk to an agent, do make sure to get a quote on line BEFORE you talk to an agent so you can compare rates. Try this first: http://www.auto-accident-blog.com/go/auto-insurance-quotes.php
