Auto Insurance Claims/3 car accident, least/no damage to me.

Question
I was recently involved in a 3 car accident.  I was the 3rd car and the 1st car being the vehicle starting the chain. It was in the middle of evening commute on a highway and it was raining.  There was a sudden stop of traffic, I stopped, the person behind me stopped, the person behind her DID'nt stop in time.  Damage to the first car extensive, damage to second car major/minor, damage to my car minimal/none(i was hit on the hitch of my Yukon).  I did lunge forward a couple of feet and do have some muscular pain.  Should I consult an attorney?  There's no real damage to me except a few paint chips on the trailer hitch.

Answer
Hi Richard,
I normally would have been able to have answered your question within 2-4 hours.  Things are not normal this week.
My grandson was severely injured while participating in a Judo Tournament in San Francisco on Sunday, am I am spending about 12 hours per day with him.
Glad to hear that you came out of the accident relatively unscathed except for some minor 'soft tissue' injuries.
You might want to visit your medical doctor and get a prescription for muscle relaxants and possibly suggest that a few trips to Physical Therapy would benefit your recovery.
Please do not even consider using a Chiropractor, because this will reduce the value of your small claim by 50%.
Hope this has been of help.
Sincerely,
Bennie
