Auto Insurance Claims/Auto fire

Question
We recently has our 1969 Camaro catch on fire.  We have collectors car insurance.  The man at the body shop insists that the whole car needs to be repainted to insure the match of the custom color.  The adjuster just wants the from half of the car painted where there is fire damage.  Also the inside has alot of smoke damage.  Body guy says to replace.  Adjuster says to have fire/flood specialists treat interior for smoke smell.  What are our options and how can we fight to get the "Right" job done?  Car is insured/valued at $35,000.00 and damage is only at about 7000.00 which includes complete paint job.  Any ideas or suggestions?

I will answer this from the perspective of an auto professional and insurance adjuster.  
Never in 20 years have I heard of it being necessary to paint an entire car to obtain a color match.  If your body shop is telling you that, then you need to get the car out of their quick because there is no telling what other kind of bullsh... that they will try to throw at you.  That is the kind of response that I only hear from amatures and crooks. Any technically advanced body shop or their paint vendor can match custom colors using a computer and special scanner.  If this shop doesn't have access to that equipment, then they are asking the insurance company to pay for their shortcomings.

All they need to do is blend the color into the doors.  The human eye is not capable of distinquishing the color difference if it has been properly blended.  Simple as that.

As far as the interior smoke smell, is there any problem with the "try and see" approach?  Let them do their thing.  If it works, it works.  If it doesn't, then they replace the stinky parts.
