Question
My vehicle was hit by a friend in his driveway.He issued a claim with his insurance company.I am also insured by the same company (Founders).The estimate from my shop was 1722.92.I trust this shop,they use genuine toyota replacement parts and are the best in my area.The insurance company sent someone to my home to inspect the damage and take photos.I gave him the estimate from my shop and he disregarded it.The insurance company offered me 1100.00.This is over 600.00 less than the cost to repair my vehicle at my trusted repair shop.I do not accept this offer.What can i do and what are my rights in this situation?
