Auto Insurance Claims/Drove over curb and into wall

Question
Somewhat after 10pm last night I turned onto a small road in my neighborhood.  A big truck was screaming towards me and I drove over a curb and into a stone wall causing a lot of damage to my car.  It drives with a little wobbling but I am wondering if my insurance would cover that since the other drive fled the scene.  Should I call the police also?  Wasn't hit and run but he/she did inadvertently cause the accident. Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hi John,
You can report this to your insurance company and they will repair your car, less your deductible.  If the total damage exceeds $500-$750, depending on your state law, it will be considered a fault accident since the vehicle that forced you off the road was not identified.
Hope this has been of help.
Your feedback by rating my answer will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Bennie
