Auto Insurance Claims/Windshield Repair

Question
In your opinion, is there any reason to favor a dealer's auto body shop over a non-dealer body shop for windshield replacement?  I am referring to a Toyota Camry.  Thank you.

Answer
Depends.....

With the dealer you will more than likely get a windshield glass that is OEM for your car.... with a non-dealer that will probably not be the case.

With that said the likelihood is that you will pay MORE for a windshield at the dealer as opposed to a "glass shop"

One other thing... if your glass replacement is covered under your auto insurance you need to check with them Insurer) to see where they want you to go.. most insurers have deals with National vendors that get the insurer the best pricing.... if you ignore this protocol you may find yourself paying more than your deductible.

Hope and trust that the above answers your question.
