Auto Insurance Claims/auto theft in state i just moved to

Question
Hi,
I recently moved to California from Texas and my car was stolen two days ago. I changed my car registration approximately three weeks ago but not my insurance. I was on an auto-pay system and my Texas insurance was renovated automatically for another month, so I was stuck with it until the end of November. Will this alone be enough reason for the company to reject my claim?
Thanks,
GR

Answer
Dear Gabriel,

I would surely love to help you if only I could figure out what you are talking about.  Here is the sentence that I cannot understand:

"I was on an auto-pay system and my Texas insurance was renovated automatically for another month, so I was stuck with it until the end of November."

I have never heard of the word "renovated" in connection with insurance, but it sounds like it was renewed.  If so, then you say it was renewed for another month.

What do you mean "stuck with it"?  If your insurance was automatically renewed until the end of November, which is what you seem to be saying, why would they not have to cover the loss of your car?

If you want to re-write this and try again, that would be fine.  But let me know some more details, such as why you did or did not have insurance in effect at the time of the incident.

I will be glad to take it from there and help all that I know how.

Best wishes,
