USAA is horrible. I was rear-ended by a policy holder in November of 2006. I had injuries to my neck and back ( bulging disk and soft tissue damage). I went through months of not very comfortable spinal taps to inject cortisone into my disk to alleviate the pain. Finally my PIP insurance ran out and I continue in pain but can not seek treatment due to how costly it is. My lawyers and I decided to put in a demand for settlement in August... AUGUST! It is now December and we had not heard anything yet. When she called she was advised that a new adjustor had taken over the case and that he had an additional 45 days to review the file. She finally reported them to the insurance comission. So I am still waiting in pain until USAA decides to settle ( since I have no personal insurance)and I can use that to continue my treatment. My advise: If you are invoved in an accident with a USAA member get a lawyer IMMEDIATELY.
