Auto Insurance Claims/totaling car

Question
Will a insurance adjuster total a car automatically is Kelley blue book is under a $1000.00?

Answer
Hi Mark,
It depends on the dollar amount of damages to your car.
If the estimate for repair plus the salvage value exceeds the fair market value, then the car will be totaled.
If you only have a few hundred dollars damage, then it sounds repairable.
I hope this is helpful.  Please write again if I can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Bennie
