I have a 1988 Dodge Ram 50 it has a 2.0 engine in it right now it is going out what is the biggest engine and what are the different makes of engines that I would be able to put in it so I don't have to change the motor mounts?

Answer
    The only other engine that Mitsubishi (which is who built your truck) used was the 2.6.  You can find a lot of these in front drive Dodges, but it's not the same engine.  You would have to find a rear-drive one from a Challenger or Starion (or another D50, it was optional in those).  The D50 was available for a while with a diesel, but the modifications to the truck were considerable and it wouldn't be a practical thing to consider.
