Question
Hi Mike,I have a 1974 Firebird with a match # 455 which I am rebuilding however I do not have the brackets to mount the air con unit, Compressor etc. Can you help me out or do you know where I may be able to get them as making them is not a easy as it looks.
Thanks John

Answer
If you are working on a car with factory air, then you will want the factory brackets.  There are several Pontiac specialists who advertise in Hemmings Motor News that could supply your parts.  All Pontiac engines are the same so far as bolting on accessories go, though, so you could probably find the stuff you need locally at a swap meet or on craigslist.  If the car did not have factory air, then go to Vintageair.com.  They can supply a complete system that will work much better than the OEM did.
