Auto Parts/switch for convertible cap

Question
Hi Mike-I have a 1992 Camaro w/convertible top. The switch /lever that controls the release of the cap on the back of the car which holds the top when it is put down down is broken, so I'm unable to lower the top! I've been unable to find one at a local junkyard. The only markings on the switch are "INDAK PAT. PEND." Is there any way you could help me find the part # so I have more to go on?   Thanks

Answer
You can't find one in a junkyard because there are very few of these Camaro convertibles around.  Have you tried the dealer?  It would be the first place I went, and it may be the only place that has this item.  You can probably make some other switch work with some ingenuity, but it would be difficult.  Oh, and you might want to find a shop that replaces convertible tops and see if they have something that will work.
