Question
i have a pontiac grandam '97,i would like to know what engine can i get to replace the one it has.i had a friend that back in 95,he jacked up his dad's bonneville.hed put an 1977 or 29 corvette engine in the bonneville,and headder.and it ran reeeeeeeeeeeal good.i would like to change the engine on my car,i got it from a 2nd or 3rd owner.what can i do?

    If you have a 4 cyl. car, you could upgrade to the 3.1 6 cyl.  But that's about it, unless you are an expert fabricator.  If you are, then you can do anything you want.  Problem is, if there are emissions inspections in your area, you will have to pass the computer test.  That means you have to keep the original computer and make it work with the engine.  Realistically, if you want a faster car you should just buy one.  Get a car built before they started emissions inspections (varies from state to state) and do whatever you want.
