have a 1995 chev 1/2 ton 4/4 extended cab 350 w/4L60E trans. what does it take to put in a 700R4 trans?

A better question would be: why would you want to? They are the same transmission. The only difference is that the 700R4 is not electronically controlled. The ECM which controls your engine also controls the transmission. The whole system falls apart if you disconnect the transmission from it. Now, if you have installed a non-computerized engine (which would violate the law in most states), then you could put in a 700R4 no problem.

Comment	thankyou for your reply,I believe I was miss lead. There was something about kick down cable connection at throttle body. I believe the repair of the 4L60E makes since to me. Thaqnk You very much for your quick reply to my question. Jerry
