Question
i have a 2000 dodge durango 5.9l V8 and my front driver side wheel locked up what can it be

Answer
In other words, you can jack the wheel off the ground, and it still won't turn, right?  Most likely cause is the brake caliper is stuck.  So, the first thing to do is remove the bolts that attach the caliper to its bracket and pry it off the rotor.  If it is still frozen with the caliper off, then the wheel bearings must have seized, which would be unusual unless this truck has a lot of miles on it.  Sometimes the wheel bearings will get so hot from driving on them after they've failed that they will weld themselves to the spindle, so you may need a pro to fix this.
If it's a four wheel drive, there could be a problem with the differential, but you'd expect that to affect both sides of the truck.
